Evangelos was part of the small group of project management professionals who, back in 2015, envisioned establishing a local Chapter of the Project Management Institute.
Serving as the Chapter’s Vice President for many years gave him not only deep insight into PMI’s processes and policies, but also the privilege of collaborating with passionate colleagues from the Chapter, PMI International, and other local Chapters. These experiences strengthened his belief in the power of our community and the value we can create together.
Returning to the Leadership Team as President is, for him, a natural continuation of this journey. He is inspired to guide and empower our Chapter Leaders and Members so we can elevate our Chapter’s growth, expand our influence, and continue building a community that inspires excellence in project management.
With years of hands-on experience, he has consistently delivered successful projects – ranging from small-scale initiatives to large, complex ventures – across Cyprus, Europe, and the Middle East.
He is currently a Project Manager at the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus, where he oversees externally funded projects of applied research related to economic policymaking in Cyprus and Europe.
