Ioannis Chaniotis is a business technology and operations optimization enthusiast. He is a certified SAP logistics consultant and Project Manager (PMP) with strong managerial background at senior level and unique cross-sector and cross-function exposure. He excels in the sweet-spot where technology enablement meets business vision.
Ioannis Chaniotis believes that technology is all about humans, how they use it, what they expect from it and what they do to make it better makes all the difference. In both operations and IT issues very often the people with the most valuable know-how are the ones with the least decision making power. A successful consultant, project manager or CIO should always keep this information flow active.
Following his graduation from the Athens University of Economics he acquired a Masters of Science degree in Business Information Technology from the Konstanz University of Applied Science. He then went on and worked as a logistics SAP consultant in Robert Bosch GmbH in Germany. His role involved the participation in various roll-out projects across Europe. In 2007 he returned to Greece and joined IBM again in a consultant role. In 2010 he made the shift to an industry role as Head of Operations and Technology at C.A.Papaellinas group of companies in Nicosia Cyprus. His responsibilities included among others leading numerous IT and supply chain related projects, commercial bids and assuming the General Manager position for a 3PL company of the group. Since 2016 he is Head of Technology in PwC Cyprus.
