The PMI Cyprus Chapter
The PMI Cyprus Chapter is the local chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMI is the world’s leading professional association for a growing community of millions of project professionals and changemakers worldwide. Founded in 1969, PMI delivers value for more than 2,9 million professionals working in nearly every country in the world. Through global advocacy, networking, collaboration, research, and education, PMI prepares organizations and individuals to work smarter in an ever-changing and dynamic world.
In 2015, the Project Management Institute (PMI) Cyprus Chapter idea was born, by mid-2016, it had successfully launched its operations. The Chapter’s first full year of operation in 2017 marked a significant milestone, with a membership base of 55 professionals and a strong commitment to delivering value to its members and establishing itself as a premier professional institute for project management in Cyprus. As the Chapter grew, it expanded its reach, numbering 131 members by the end of 2017 and subsequently increasing to 230 members by the end of 2023. In recognition of its outstanding achievements, the PMI Cyprus Chapter received the prestigious PMI Best Chapter Award in Category I (50-300 Members) in 2020.

The mission of the PMI Cyprus Chapter is to empower project management professionals in Cyprus, promote awareness of the discipline’s critical role in driving business success, and foster professionalism. By providing a platform for knowledge sharing, skill development, and community building, the Chapter has established itself as a leading authority in project management, enhancing the skills and expertise of practitioners and organizations alike.
With its presence in a small country, the PMI Cyprus Chapter has built a reputation as a respected and influential professional body, offering valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and skill development to its members.
As the Chapter continues to grow, it remains committed to increasing member engagement, particularly through volunteerism, and encouraging younger members to participate in activities.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Chapter’s online community.
